What is this?
At the heart of Genre Wars is a film competition, where the winner of each clip will be awarded 50% of money collected. An entry fee of $20, gets you and your team in the competition. So, if you are the only one that enters, you’ll win $10 in return. A Genre Wars storyline will run for a 1 year span, having competitions every 3 months.
We created Genre Wars to provide you the basic storyline, to challenge each other, to motivate us, filmmakers, to complete a project, and to build community. If you are like us and wondered if you could pull off that cool action sequence, now’s your chance to give it a shot.
We are filmmakers that want to do film to excellence, but do not like doing things without a purpose. With each short, we wanted to have a goal in mind.
We’ve given you certain parameters to follow, but other than that – everything is open up to this point. As filmmakers begin to put rules into place, the world of Kabathn, will begin to develop.
